The HCP CPR/AED course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives.
Students learn skills such as performing chest compression, assisting the choking individual, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Audience: This course is for any Healthcare Provider who needs a course completion card, CPR, and AED used to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
Upon successfully completing the skills demonstration, students receive an Emergency Care & Safety Institute card, valid for two years. ***Enhanced HCP CPR courses are available with special pricing to incorporate state-of-the-art equipment such as the LUCAS device and various HCP equipment. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes; therefore, it is important to stop the blood loss quickly. Those near someone with life-threatening injuries are best positioned to provide first care.
